FAQ

What size rod will the FRS-9 fit?

The FRS-9 is designed for 9-foot, 4-piece or 2-piece rods — the standard size for most trout anglers.

Can I keep my fly rod fully rigged inside?

Yes. That’s exactly what the FRS-9 was built for.
Slide your rod into the sleeve, break your rod in half — no need to strip your fly. When you’re ready to fish, just slide it out and cast.

Is the FRS-9 water-resistant?

Yes. The outer material is water-resistant and quick-drying, so it sheds rain and river spray.

Does the FRS-9 fit inside a vehicle easily?

Absolutely. The fold-in-half design means it’s compact enough for most car trunks, back seats, or boat lockers.
No more struggling with a full-length rod tube.

The rod sleeve is great

"The rod sleeve is great -- have used it and love it! (five stars). The rubber band that I ordered along with it (to hold the fly against the rod while traveling) is a huge ripoff to say the least . . $5 for a $0. 02 rubber band . . seriously? Oh, and for that price I get just ONE??? I'll go pick up a few small o-rings at the hardware store. The rod sleeve is great . . I'd feel less robbed if I at least got a small bag of rubber bands, not just one (that's likely to get lost) . ."

Product is as advertised -

"Product is as advertised - great quality!!! Really looking forward to trip next month fishing in Colorado for multiple days & locations without having to set up a new rig every time I hit a new spot."

Just as advertised!

"I just got back from a day on the Deschutes and used my rod sleeve for the first time. I strung up my rod at home, put it in the sleeve, pulled it out at the river and went right to fishing! Great product. Rod feels safe and secure when stored in the sleeve."

Michael C. (5/5)

Second one I’ve gotten. Best

Great product , make a 10 ft sleeve

"I liked the first one so much that I bought two more. Keeps the rod safe and the line tidy."

Easy way to transport full

"Easy way to transport full rigged rods from fishing spot to the next spot on the river. The zipper at the break down spot is a nice touch and makes taking the rod apart at the center easier than what it looks like in the videos."

Works great, figuring out how

"Works great, figuring out how to not tangle the line around the eyes but beyond that I love it. Great for the smaller rivers that have lots of trees and bushes that grab your pole when you are trying to get to the waters edge!"
